The Edward Stocks Massey Bequest Fund allocated £34,000 in total for 2026/27, supporting 18 organisations across Burnley and two student scholarship awards.
The total includes the student scholarship allocation as well as grants to local organisations. The fund supports education, science, music and the arts for the people of Burnley, continuing the charitable legacy of Edward Stocks Massey. The fund was established in 1910.
Celebrating the 2026 student awards
Charlie Diamond and Jonah Morgan received the 2026 Stocks Massey scholarships, recognised at Burnley College’s Awards for Excellence ceremony.
Congratulations to both recipients. It is good to see this longstanding Burnley charity continuing to support young people alongside the organisations that contribute to the town’s cultural and community life.
